One of our clients in Belgium is looking for a Management Consultant - Cards & Payments to provide consulting services to their Belgian clients and a growing list of international clients:
- Cards and Payments strategy development and execution; - Performance improvement in both operations and revenue generation; - New product development and partner sourcing projects; - Business unit reorganisations and organisational design projects; - Regulatory change management and opportunity projects.
Responsibilities: - Defining and delivering major strategic projects in the area of cards and payments within major financial institutions. - Lead or participate in engagements that provide insight and recommendations to different types of payment strategy, performance improvement, reorganisation and integration projects. - Preparing, presenting and implementing practical bottom line-oriented solutions including changes of processes, organisations and people to senior management / Board level. - Excel in client and project management, to shape thought leadership and contribute to practice development, while identifying and supporting business development opportunities along the way. - Managing and coaching your team. Sharing knowledge and experience by helping coach and develop team in areas where you have expertise.
Requirements: - A minimum of 5 years experience in payments, transaction services, cards or financial markets preferably in the banking sector, schemes or for a management consultancy. - Strong analytical skills: a track record in business analysis is essential, and experience of defining a number of the following would be advantageous: distribution or operational (payment) strategy, target operating models, organisational structures, cost reduction programmes, lean core business processes, KPIs / balanced scorecards or advising clients in relation to post-merger integration. - Interest in practise development; therefore an entrepreneurial or innovation development background would be highly valued. - Ability and experience to work at senior management level. - Change agent, possessing excellent communication skills, in written and presentation form, and strong interpersonal skills. - Fluency in English.
